SpaceX, Twitter and electric car maker Tesla CEO Elon Musk speaks during an event at the Vivatech technology startups and innovation fair at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris, on June 16, 2023.

According to BBC, Facebook-turned-Meta CEO took a playful dig at the SpaceX and Tesla magnate, suggesting that Musk's enthusiasm for the pugilistic spectacle might not be as genuine as it seemed. Zuck says he is moving on from the rumored fight with the X big boss.

The Facebook founder's announcement comes after weeks of back-and-forth banter between the two tech moguls.

The quarrel between the two billionaires escalated into a bizarre challenge, with Musk challenging the Meta founder to a cage match to settle their differences in a decidedly unconventional manner. However, Zuck seems to have taken a step back from the ring, expressing doubts about Musk's seriousness regarding the showdown.

In his Threads post, "I think we can all agree Elon is not serious and it is time to move on." Zuck further pointed out that Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White "offered to make this a legit competition for charity." However, the Facebook founder says that the Tesla big boss "would not confirm a date." Musk further made excuses to delay the fight, saying that he needs surgery. Zuck says Musk is now asking him to perform a "practice round" his the Meta CEO's backyard.

But despite that, the Guardian says Zuck is still game to pursue the fight "if Elon ever gets serious" regarding the official event and date, the billionaire disclosed in his recent Threads post. But for now, the Meta boss says that he is moving on from the much-awaited cage fight between the two tech titans.
