A Tesla EV transformed from an eco-friendly road warrior to a blazing inferno. As per a report by Fox News Online, the electric car ignited in flames last week while sitting in a high-end auto yard in Sacramento.

The local authorities disclosed that the vehicle was brought to the auto yard after it was salvaged due to the recent flooding in Florida. It was idly parked in the scrap yard when it started to burst into flames, the local officials say.

The Metro Fire of Sacramento took to X, formerly Twitter, which Musk owns, to report the incident. The recent post included videos and photos of the recent blazing incident.

The firefighters say that "crews responded for a vehicle fire at a high-end auto dismantler." They further narrated that their crew had difficulty moving the burning Tesla to a safe location to burn out. The firefighters noted that the burning EV was "surrounded by millions of dollars in salvaged vehicles, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bentleys."

CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX - MARCH 02: (UK OUT) Firefighters attend an incident at a Tesla dealership on March 2, 2019 in Crawley, West Sussex, England.

Surprisingly, the courageous firefighters did not just battle the blaze. They alerted Tesla's head honcho, Musk himself, by tagging him in the post.

In an era where social media can ignite trends faster than a bolt of lightning, the firefighters' bold move generated a buzz that spread like wildfire. Online folks quickly joined the conversation.

According to KTVU's reports, an X user, who goes by Degenerate Teetoatler, replied to the post, questioning the move to mention the Tesla big boss. He ponders, "Why tag @elonmusk when none of your other vehicle fire posts tag the CEO of the vehicle manufacturer?" Another user, named Sam, responded, "Do you see other car brands spontaneously combusting?"

The Tesla titan, renowned for his active presence on the platform formerly known as Twitter, has yet to respond to the Metro Fire of Sacramento post.

As of writing, the post has already amassed roughly 18,500 views, according to the data from Musk's social media service.

As per Road and Track, Hurricane Ian flooded several Tesla EVs last October 2022. Some of these vehicles spontaneously ignited roughly a week after the storm unleashed its wrath. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue says mixing salt water and electrical components is "a recipe for disaster."
