The podcast happened days before Diaz's fight with the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. During the podcast program, Nate said that Conor meets all the fighting criteria needed to go against Jake Paul.

"If he was free, I'm sure he would fight him. Why would you not? He's f****ng talking a lot of s***. There's f****ng criteria and that motherf***er meets it," said the UFC fighter via The Mirror

He added that a lot of people can fight Jake Paul and a lot also can't.

Based on Nate's statements, he's quite confident that McGregor can take on Paul despite having no fights in the past two years.

As of writing, McGregor is expected to make his UFC return before 2023 ends. Conor will most likely fight Michael Chandler once his comeback happens.

However, McGregor still needs to complete his six months of mandatory drug testing before he can step foot in the octagon again and re-enter the USADA testing pool.
