While phones nowadays boast top-notch camera upgrades and performance improvements, phone makers have neglected the batteries. With the upcoming debut of the iPhone 15 series, the rumor mill has been buzzing with anticipation for the next-generation Apple flagship device.

According to Business Insider, the upcoming iteration of the iPhone might finally offer the much-awaited battery upgrade. An unverified leak suggests that the upcoming iPhone 15 will substantially improve battery life. Apple fanboys can expect an increase in battery performance compared to the already impressive iPhone 14.

Phone Arena reports that a Foxconn employee reportedly revealed that the iPhone 15 features a 3,877 mAh battery, a significant lift from iPhone 14's 3,279 mAh battery. In other words, the upcoming Apple flagship might last up to 15 percent longer before it runs out of juice.

The iPhone 14 saw a slight bump in its battery life when it debuted almost a year ago. The entry-level iPhone 13 offers a battery with a 3,227 mAh rating, a bit lower than its successor.

Besides the iPhone 15 base model, rumors hint that Apple plans to introduce all the other models with a remarkable battery upgrade.

As per the 9to5 Mac, the iPhone 15 Plus likely sports a 4,912 mAh battery, a 12 percent bump from its predecessor. The 15 Pro potentially features a 3,650 mAh battery, whereas the 15 Pro Max might get a 4,852 mAh battery, which are 12 percent and 11 percent boosts, respectively.

While Apple has remained tight-lipped about specific details regarding the iPhone 15, industry experts speculate that the boost in battery life could be attributed to a combination of hardware and software enhancements.

It is worth noting that the tech giant has been known to introduce power-efficient processors, optimized software updates, and battery management improvements with each new iPhone iteration. And as such, the upcoming iPhone 15 models will likely continue this trend.

Apple's competitors, including tech giants Samsung and Google Pixel, have consistently strived to match Apple's performance standards. However, if this rumor holds, the iPhone 15 could further solidify Apple's dominance in the smartphone market. With longer-lasting battery life, Apple's flagship device could again set the benchmark for other manufacturers.

Imagine spending an entire day without desperately conserving your phone's juice. With the iPhone 15's rumored battery life boost, users can expect enhanced productivity, longer gaming sessions, extended streaming time, and seamless multitasking.
