Robert De Niro has spoken out after the death of his 19-year-old grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez.
The young man was found "unresponsive" and "unconscious" in his home in New York City on Sunday afternoon, according to the police.

According to a report by CNN, De Niro's grandson, Leandro, has passed away, the latter's mother confirmed on her latest social media update. Actress Drena De Niro, Leandro's mother and De Niro's daughter paid tribute to her son on her recent social media post.
Her caption opened up about the unfortunate death of her son. She says, "You have been my joy, my heart, and all that was ever pure and real in my life." The caption of her tribute further read, "I [do not] know how to live without you, but [I will] try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama."
In her post, wherein she tagged her son's dad, Carlos Rodriguez, she told him that he is "so deeply loved and appreciated, and I wish that love alone could have saved you." She concluded her tribute post, saying, "Rest in Peace and Eternal Paradise, my darling boy." She attached a photo of Leandro in her Instagram post.
The post of Leandro's mother received an outpouring of condolences and prayers from commenters. Some expressed their devastation at the untimely passing of De Niro's grandson.
Meanwhile, according to CBS News, the father of Leandro, artist Carlos Mare, has shared a black image as he mourns the passing of his son. He says, "Words [are not] enough to express the joy he gave us or the loss we now endure with our families and friends." Mare adds that his son is "Godschild now," stressing that you cannot spell "LOVE" without "LEO," the nickname of his son.

In a statement to CNN Entertainment, Robert De Niro, opened up about the death of his "beloved grandson Leo."
Despite the weight of sorrow, De Niro has displayed remarkable strength, revealing glimpses of the unwavering resilience that has defined his legendary career. He says they are "greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone." But in the meantime, the family is asking for the privacy of their grandson "to grieve our loss of Leo."
Leo starred in movies such as 'A Star is Born,' featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. He also appeared in movies like 'Cabaret Maxime' and 'The Collection.'
