President Joe Biden dismissed a reporter's question about why he was referred to as the "big guy" in an FBI informant file as "such a dumb question."

President Joe Biden raged when asked why he is referred to as "the big guy" in an FBI informant file accusing him of accepting a $5 million bribe from a Ukrainian businessman while he was vice president.

"Why did the Ukraine FBI informant file refer to you as the 'big guy', President Biden," The Post asked Biden.

Biden Snaps Back as Reporter Asks Him About 'Big Guy'

"Why do you ask such a dumb question?" exclaimed the 80-year-old president.

According to congressional sources who read the file, an informant told the FBI in June 2020 that an executive at Ukrainian gas company Burisma confided that he bribed Joe and Hunter Biden and dubbed the elder Biden "the big guy."

Republicans argue that the use of the moniker is significant because it was not widely known at the time. Nearly four months later, in October 2020, an email from the abandoned laptop of first son Hunter Biden stated that the "big guy" was owed 10% of a business agreement with CEFC China Energy.

Tony Bobulinski and James Gilliar, two Biden family business partners involved in the CEFC transaction, separately referred to Joe Biden as "the big guy." According to an examination of laptop documents by the Washington Post, Hunter and James Biden received $4.8 million from the CEFC partnership.

Joe and Hunter Biden were each paid $5 million to facilitate the interests of Burisma proprietor Mykola Zlochevsky. The businessman allegedly informed an "extremely credible" FBI informant that he kept 15 audio recordings of Hunter and two audio recordings of Joe Biden as "insurance."

In April 2014, Burisma appointed the then-Vice President's son to its board as Joe Biden assumed control of the Obama administration's Ukrainian policy in the wake of a coup that deposed the country's pro-Russian leaders. Despite lacking pertinent industry experience, Hunter was paid up to $1 million per year.

Meanwhile, Senator Charles Grassley accused the FBI on Monday of withholding information disclosing that the foreign national allegedly recorded conversations with Biden and his son Hunter.

On Monday, the House oversight committee met behind closed doors with the FBI to receive a briefing on the matter. Per Newsweek, Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the committee, stated shortly thereafter that the FBI is "afraid" the purported informant would be "executed if unmasked."

Biden's Alleged Bribery Scheme

Moreover, a group of Republican senators has demanded that Attorney General Merrick Garland appoint a special counsel to investigate 'any wrongdoing' by the first family, as details regarding an alleged $5 million "arrangement" for the exchange of money for policy decisions between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national continue to emerge.

A "highly credible" whistleblower claims that an internal FD-1023 memo created in 2020 based on information from a well-compensated FBI informant describes the alleged bribe, according to Daily Mail.

Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee, JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Mike Braun, R-Indiana, write in a letter that "the outstanding allegations of potential corruption and wrongdoing on the part of numerous members of the Biden family are, to say the least, profoundly concerning."

The senators' demand comes one day after Iowa Republican Senator Charles Grassley delivered an explosive speech on the Senate floor citing information believed to be redacted from the FBI's FD-1023 file regarding the alleged payment.

Grassley also criticized the FBI for consenting to show legislators a redacted version of the FD-1023 form "on the same day" that the Department of Justice announced a 37-count indictment of former President Donald Trump for alleged mishandling of classified documents.
