WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 01: U.S. President Joe Biden jokes with reporters as he returns to the White House June 01, 2023 in Washington, DC. Biden tripped over a sandbag earlier in the day while attending commencement ceremonies at the Air Force Academy.

According to CBS News, Biden tripped and fell as he returned to his seat at the Air Force Academy commencement ceremony after roughly two hours of shaking hands with the graduates. And now, Trump has responded to the recent incident as he appeared in Iowa. The former President seemingly only learned about Biden's fall while answering questions from the press, as per Fox News.

The ex-POTUS, seemingly in shock, asks if Biden "actually fell down?" He says, "Well, I hope he [was not] hurt."

Although he wished Biden was unharmed by his recent fall, he still notes that the Air Force graduation ceremony was a "bad place to fall." He then slammed the President, saying it was "not inspiring."

Trump's comments came as he ramped up his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. The MAGA leader has repeatedly attacked Biden's age and fitness for office.

The President tripped during the ceremony after walking away from the center stage after handing out diplomas to graduates for over 90 minutes. As he was on his way to his seat, he tripped on a sandbag and fell to the ground, wherein he landed on his right hip.

(COMBO) This combination of pictures created on June 1, 2023 shows US President Joe Biden falling and being helped up during the graduation ceremony at the United States Air Force Academy, just north of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, on June 1, 2023.

The White House communications director Ben LaBolt assures everyone that the President is doing great. He says Biden is "fine," explaining that "there was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands."

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre shrugs off worries and reiterates that the President is "totally fine." She notes that Biden even rocked "a big smile" as he boarded Air Force One after his fall. According to CNN, Biden is notably the oldest President of the US, staying at the White House at 80 years old. Despite that, he still plans to run for a second term.

It is not the first instance that Biden fell to the ground. In 2022, the President stumbled during his bike ride in Delaware. There was even an incident wherein he slipped on the stairs on board Air Force One.

But those accidents aside, his doctor emphasized that Biden is physically fit to lead the country. His aides corroborate this, noting that his foreign trips, which last for days, go to show his vibrant vigor these days.
