Donald Trump has suggested a year-long celebration of the United States semi-quincentennial, which would celebrate 250 years since independence in 2026.

In a policy video, Trump promoted the event called "Salute to America 250." It proposes a "Great American State Fair" with pavilions representing all 50 states, nationwide high school sporting competitions, and a "National Garden of American Heroes" with statues of historical figures.

Donald Trump highlighted his desire to throw the United States the "most spectacular" birthday party in his policy video, according to a report from Politico.

The ex-POTUS has long focused on this patriotic and beautifully prepared spectacle. During his first speech to US Congress, he underlined the importance of the forthcoming 250th anniversary of the United States and the need to celebrate the nation's origins.

Donald Trump established the 1776 Commission to promote American history and values throughout his administration.

The Republican 2024 presidential nominee proposes forming a task committee on his first day in office with state and municipal governments to prolong celebrations. Instead of a one-day festival, this would allow a year-long celebration from Memorial Day 2025 through July 4th, 2026.

Donald Trump Plans To End Birthright US Citizenship

In a related development in his 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump has expressed support for an executive order to remove birthright citizenship, USA Today reported.

Trump indicated in a recent video release that he wants to execute an executive order clarifying that children of unauthorized immigrants would not immediately get U.S. citizenship. Though, in the past, his legal counsel advised Trump against enforcing such an order due to potential legal issues.

Meanwhile, a probe into whether Donald Trump and his advisers unlawfully kept sensitive records from the White House has found that one of his attorneys, Evan Corcoran, alleges he was dissuaded from visiting the former president's office, per The Independent.

Weeks later, during an authorized search, FBI officers uncovered over 100 documents. According to Corcoran, several advisers instructed him to confine his search to a storage area at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate under subpoena.
