Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is trailing behind Ex-President Donald Trump in a published opinion poll, predicting Trump's win the Republican nomination. His ratings were boosted over the indictment, which conservatives see as an attempt by the Biden administration to derail Trump's 2024 re-election bid.

Donald Trump Indictment Boosts 2024 Re-Election Bid

A key supporter of Trump says the Republican Party has its choice in the primaries when a new survey suggests that the 45th president with an excess of 50 percent of support, reported Express UK.

Another national survey shows the 45th Commander-in-Chief had twice the lead over GOP Rival Ron DeSantis from February, noted Fox News. In the latest poll, the GOP stalwart got 54 percent, with only 24 percent for DeSantis.

The Trump supporter making these claims is Pastor Mark Burns saying that the ex-president would get the nod of those choosing the 2024 GOP presidential candidate. He told the outlet that it was already in the bag. He avers that only the businessman-turned-politician can unify the Republican conference like him.

Compared to the democratic party's use of unfair tactics used by Germans in the second world. He alleged another attempt recently to compromise a federal election. Saying the Democrats should not have fed the flame.

Trump Leads Over DeSantis

Information from polls shows other GOP hopefuls have not fared well, and former VP Mike Pence has only 6 percent. Liz Cheney and Nikki Haley are just at 3 percent only. Trump has gotten support from GOP-inclined women in his revival. DeSantis, with the support of white men with college degrees, is getting a 12-point jack-up versus his rival.

The former president's 2024 campaign has been pushed along by charges of hush money charges connected to Stormy Daniels, cited NPR.

A Trump veteran of the 2020 campaign cites a quote that will not turn out well for the Democrats: "Keep your powder dry. The Manhattan District Attorney is trying to fly a plane without wings."

Trump was charged on March 30 based on allegations that a $130,000 payoff to Daniels in trying to keep an affair under wraps so as not to compromise his 2016 US Presidential election. The 45th president posted on Truth Social about charges and hit arrest soon.

A campaign rep called it a witch-hunt directed at Trump. Added that every candidate can raise more funds to have their messages heard and to show they are a better option. The representative says it is easier for Trump to raise money to ask for donations to stay ahead and keep the fund coming. Overall, the event regarding the charges against the ex-president is an attempt by the Democrats to stop getting a second Trump administration.
