NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 15: Keanu Reeves attends Lionsgate's "John Wick: Chapter 4" screening at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on March 15, 2023 in New York City.
  • In contrast to the previous three, John Wick: Chapter 4 is an exception
  • As Akira attempted to attack Caine herself, he pleaded with her to "live"
  • Caine didn't want to kill Koji in the first place and let Akira go

John Wick: Chapter 4 was more than a fantastic conclusion to a fantastic film. It also provided an unanticipated post-credits sequence that underlined one of the franchise's most significant themes.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is the longest entry in the action film franchise, but is there more content in a Marvel-style post-credits scene?

John Wick: Chapter 4 Post-Credits Scene

Keanu Reeves as John challenges Marquis Vincent de Gramont (Bill Skarsgard) to a last duel after Chapter 4 of John Wick. John wins the duel and is released from his position at the High Table. According to Uproxx, he dies after being shot by Caine (Donnie Yen).

In the post-credits sequence, Akira (Rina Sawayama) seeks revenge for the murder of her father, Koji (Hiroyuki Sanada), by Michael Caine earlier in the film. The film concludes with Akira moving on Caine with an apparent intent to kill him.

A prospective new John Wick film might continue Akira's plot, although something still needs to be confirmed now. In a recent interview, director Chad Stahelski stated that he and Reeves are done with the John Wick series, which makes much more sense given that we know John died.

Stahelski is likely eager to attempt something new after working on the John Wick series for so long. Stahelski is contracted to helm the Ghost of Tsushima and Rainbow Six adaptations.

Several films have been announced. However, Stahelski has lately quipped that they may not be genuine. He told The Hollywood Reporter, "Hollywood loves a good announcement, doesn't it?"

If John Wick: Chapter 4 does as predicted at the box office, Stahelski claimed he would sit down with Keanu Reeves, drink alcohol, and plot the next John Wick film.

Ana de Armas will star in a spinoff centered on the character Ballerina, extending the John Wick series beyond the main plot. Reeves will have a cameo as John Wick as per Gamespot in the film.

The John Wick franchise should no longer present any major surprises. It has always been about one thing and one thing only: John Wick doing what he does best, which is killing people.

What began as a tiny action film directed by stunt directors and starring Keanu Reeves as a former hitman seeking retribution against the criminals who killed his favorite dog has evolved into one of the most critically praised action franchises of all time.

The first three films showed how amazing action films can be when permitted to focus only on the action.

The long-take battle sequences, the ingenious manner in which Wick dispatches his foes, the brutality of his killings, and the secretive, rule-governed underworld of the assassins have been the primary appeal of the John Wick films from the beginning.

John Wick: Chapter 4 Spinoff

In this, the fourth and last installment of the franchise, the focus is on tying up loose ends and giving Wick the proper send-off.

John has been marked as "excommunicado" and slated for murder by the High Table, the highest tier of the criminal organization he once belonged to, following the last film's events (John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum).

With the assistance of The Continental hotel management Winston (Ian McShane) and his concierge Charon (Lance Reddick), as well as the Bowery King, he decides to take matters into his own hands to escape the organization's grasp and cease always having to glance over his shoulder (Laurence Fishburne).

The Table has also selected the ambitious Marquis Vincent De Gramont (played by the magnificently vile Bill Skarsgard) as its judge, jury, and executioner in all issues about Wick.

Caine (Donnie Yen), a blind but lethal assassin who serves the Table but who has his reasons for seeking Wick, joins the Marquis in his pursuit.

It is an incredible, thrilling trip from beginning to end that holds your attention during the nonstop, fast-paced action scenes. Wick jets from New York to Paris through stops in Osaka and Berlin, with a seemingly unending series of fistfights, gun battles, and vehicle chases, as per The Star.
