New study says the universe shape is either a doughnut or flat pancake but they seem to be one existing at the same time,

Based on a new study suggests that the universe is not a flat pancake; instead, it's a doughnut indicated by researchers. Hints of strange patterns originating from the Big Bang might be seen in a more complex shape. Another is the flattened cosmos still needs to be fully explored as well.
Study on the Universe's Shape
The cosmos is flat based on what is known, but it changes as flatness becomes untenable. If the universe is flat, then it stretches to infinity, reported Live Science.
A flat tabletop will extend beyond its but look at a circular Earth and extend the line from top to bottom. Unlike the table, it ends at both poles. Move on to the cosmos in three dimensions that change everything about flatness. These same calculations have shown by discounting galaxies, blackhole with small-scale reflections show the cosmos is flat.
Is the Universe Shaped Like a Doughnut or Torus?
Another kind of flat exists that can be done, like having lines on a paper and then connecting each end to produce a cylinder. Next, get each end of the cylinder to make a torus for the cosmos or a doughnut shape, cites Vice.
Another odd trick to see flat space is to get a strip of paper into a circle with a 180-degree twist to make a Moebius strip. It is flat, but the parallel lines keep on moving up and over.
Mathematicians found more than 18 possible geometrically flat, 3D topologies, and they've done confusing configurations. It showed the twisty cosmos from all aspects, from the earliest to the most recent times, just by using a Mobius strip as a model. If the cosmos were a torus, astronomers would see in dual directions in such copies.
What Is the Actual Shape of the Cosmos?
Universal topology has been calculated in many ways, from searching for duplicate patterns of galaxies to matching cosmic radiation in space. However, the data demonstrates a flat and torus shape too.
Last February 23, the preprint database arXiv stated the measurements were not expansive enough. It states the cosmos does wrap itself in one dimension with nothing more complex in its topology. Odd measurements in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) have some anomalous patterns recorded.
The cosmos is not simply seen in the weird reading from the cosmic microwaves that have not been identified yet. Though it does not justify a torus-shaped cosmos, the researchers suggested probing the cosmos more. But another mirror image could be in the weird cosmos.
