Oklahoma Couple Starves Daughter; Missing Son Might Be Dead

An Oklahoma couple who starved their daughter and denied a missing son was dead was reported by the grandmother, which led to their arrest.

Tulsa police arrested an Oklahoma couple who starved their daughter with a missing son the authorities believe is already dead. They found the girl in 'skin and bones' condition but did not find a trace of the boy when they were taken in.

Oklahoma Couple Accused of Serious Child Abuse

Suspects Camille Lewis and John Miles were arrested after the kids' grandmother reported them and later were charged with child abuse and neglect of the welfare of a child. The grandmother called the police, worried something bad would happen to them, reported Meaww.

Records show the grandmother called the cops last January 17 to report the stepfather and mother for grave acts. She added that no sign of the boy was seen for a few years, saying foul play is possible. She told the cops the guardians had abused the girl for a long time, noted the Sun.

The 13-year-old girl was taken from the guardians and given to the grandmother telling the police they had starved the child badly. Camille Lewis disclosed to her mom that the 11-year-old boy died when she dropped the girl at the grandmother's home. Attention is focused on the boy's disappearance, and detectives consider it murder.

Daughter Severely Starved; Son Missing for Years

Child Crisis Detectives asked the surviving girl if the boy was murdered, then learned the boy was dead. She added that her parents' abuses ended when she was taken from them and lived with the grandmother in November 2020, citing Fox19.

The father was a monster who abused the girl by giving her food for sexual favors. Authorities found out that her mom found the boy dead on March 2021.

Police dealing with the case revealed that both children were tortured and beaten with objects by the adults. The children were kept in closets for a long time and told to urinate and poop in cups. The surviving girl said they were told to exercise outdoors in the cold and forced to sleep inside an igloo doghouse.

Sources say the boy died from a seizure, but the mom never got medical help because of getting suspected by hospital personnel. Information given by the daughter indicated the stepdad and a cousin buried the body in the park. Later got and burned the corpse to ashes, then washed it down the drain.

The mom said they did starve and beat them, though she denied her son was dead despite the testimony. The mother claimed the boy ran away and was never seen again.

Lewis was arrested first, then Miles the day after. They were charged with child abuse with injury and neglect with a possible murder charge. Bonds for both would be $600,000, and Miles is accused of sexual abuse with records as a convicted felon in Tulsa County Prison records.

But the detectives doubt her claims and will see it as a murder investigation, remarked Tulsa police. Stated that if remains aren't found, the charges will change based on the murder probe.
