When Madonna entered the Grammy Awards stage as a presenter, she shocked the audience with her "unrecognizable" appearance.

Sunday's 65th Annual Grammy Awards afterparty was held at the Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills, and Madonna was seen leaving the event.

It follows the Queen of Pop's "unrecognizable" look, which startled fans as she entered the star-studded stage as a presenter earlier in the evening. Madonna arrived at the party looking fashionable with a long black silk coat and a pair of eccentric dark glasses.

Madonna's 'New Appearance'

The 'True Blue' hitmaker shocked the audience with her remarkably wrinkle-free appearance as she introduced Sam Smith and Kim Petras before they began to perform their popular song, 'Unholy,' which went on to win the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the event.

The singer, who just revealed her eagerly awaited The Celebration Tour, also sent a sweet message to "all the little rebels," saying that their "fearlessness does not go unnoticed." However, the focus soon turned to her "unrecognizable appearance."

The gifted artist, who has won seven Grammys in total, entered the glittering stage to assume the presenter's position during the celebrations, according to Daily Mail. She chose a monochrome outfit for the evening, donning a long, black skirt with a thigh-high split on the right side and a tight, black jacket.

Madonna's hair was divided into two braids and was put on each side with a central part. Two smaller strands dropped in front of her face for an edgy touch.

The Frozen singer spoke to the crowd on stage in front of a bright spotlight while holding a riding crop in her right hand. Madonna wore a set of cross-shaped earrings and a variety of sparkling rings to accentuate her outfit for the big evening further.

She sported blonde-dyed eyebrows and a glam cosmetic look with black mascara and a shimmering, smokey shadow. She finished up by tinting her lips a shade of nude. After the music icon's address at the 2023 Grammy Awards, Madonna fans are worried. However, more than the speech itself, Madonna's attendance caused concern for many fans on Twitter.

Madonna Slams Critics

The singer-songwriter was perceived by many as being unrecognizable. More fans shared the same opinions, with one even confusing her for Drew Barrymore, an actress. Some Madonna fans even went so far as to upload more videos and TikToks of the singer to prove their argument about her allegedly radical transformation.

Others said a close-up camera shot of her during the speech was purposely not taken at the Grammy Awards. According to Variety, Madonna's fans were concerned when it was discovered a few weeks ago that her eagerly awaited biopic had been postponed indefinitely.

Per The Sun, Julia Garner was cast in the title role, and Madonna herself was set to helm the film. Despite being formally announced in 2020, nothing happened until 2022, when Madonna allegedly went through two full script versions. Julia had to fight for a part in a "singing and dancing boot camp" with celebrities, including Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, and Bebe Rexha.

Instead, Madonna revealed her Celebration World Tour, where she will make her first international appearance since a handful of private performances in 2019 and 2020. In her career as a filmmaker, Madonna has already helmed two full-length movies, W.E. in 2011 and Filth and Wisdom in 2008.

Meanwhile, the people who criticized Madonna's performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards have not affected her. On Tuesday, the boundary-breaking singer, 64, wrote a lengthy response to keyboard critics who said she was unfathomably unrecognizable on music's biggest night. As per NY Post, she accompanied her remarks with a clip of herself standing at the Grammys with celebrities including Cardi B, Sam Smith, and Honey Dijon.
