Bryan Kohberger Used Axe on Slain Idaho College Students, Says Online Theory

Bryan Kohberger is believed to have used an axe to kill the four Idaho college students, according to an online theory that explains the gruesome murders.

An online theory proposes that Bryan Kohberger, the suspect in the Idaho college murders, used an axe, not a knife, in the killings as a new twist on the case. Initially, the search for the knife did not pan out, prompting another murder weapon to be have been used.

Online Theory Says Axe Is the Murder Weapon

Kohberger allegedly stabbed the victims Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, while asleep, except for Kernodle, in an off-campus rental outside of Idaho University on November 13, reported Meaww.

After reports of his arrest, these web sleuths spread many theories about how the murders transpired. The lack of a murder weapon is another idea of how an axe could have been used to kill the students. The investigators also considered this during the investigation's progress.

Until now, the lack of any evidence pointing to the actual murder weapon is perplexing the case against Kohberhger. Wounds suffered by the four students are more closely examined.

One of these Twitter users wrote online saying an axe was used in the Idaho homicides and called serious attention to the injuries suffered by the deceased. Another point raised by the user is the killing was very systematic and was without a hitch, which hinted that Kohberger was not the only killer but had an accomplice, citing Independent.

The tweets posted were not only text with a picture to give more emphasis, including a screenshot of the article that highlights the victim's wounds.

Theories on Idaho College Murders

The breakout story of the Moscow-Idaho murders brought it to national attention leading to many unfounded, baseless theories and conspiracy types. The public has been blacked out by the police keeping sensitive information under wrap, but the arrest of the suspect allowed revealing it.

After the initial court case was done, most of the crucial details were on hold from the media, and only the details were released for public consumption.

Instead of being arrested close to the crime scene, Kohberger was in eastern Pennsylvania at his parents' home, far from Moscow, Idaho. Caught on December 30 and transferred to Idaho during January, and taken to Latah County prison, mentioned Komo News.

He was marked as the only person of interest by the police before getting nabbed by them. He was, according to them, already a probable suspect. Getting charged with four instances of murder in the first degree and one count of felony burglary after the arrest.

Idaho Murder Suspect Apprehended

The suspect made the police exert extra effort to profile him, getting the cellular data and looking for the white Hyundai Elantra. It was one of the clues spotted close to where the victim's stayed until getting killed by a sharp implement about 84 days later.

On August 21, 2022, from 10:34 to 11:35 pm, the culling of the four students began. The discovery of the suspect's mobile near the murder house was a development police needed.

To stop rumors stemming from the case, which the judge says is obstructive to it. He placed a gag order for the families to abide by or else. Kohberger passed over an immediate preliminary hearing on January 12, which will be on June 26 instead, as mentioned by NY Times.
