The tennis and K-pop worlds meet in Roger Federer's viral photo with Korean pop group Blackpink.

Roger Federer uploaded a photo of himself with the Korean pop group Blackpink during their recent trip to Paris on his Instagram, which captivated both the tennis and K-pop audiences.

As the photo garnered more than one million likes, the 20-time grand slam winner noted on the platform, "My kids said this was a definite IG post."

Presently ranked 7th in the world, Coco Gauff commented on the viral Roger Federer Blackpink photo, "blink???" Denis Shapovalov, who made it to the third round of this year's Australian Open, posted "Hahaha yessss" with a pair of sunglasses emoji, CNN reported.

This picture was shot during the Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes event in Paris, France's Le Zénith Arena. French First Lady Brigitte Macron is involved with the foundation that organized the concert, per All KPop.

International Icons in One Photo

Exactly five years after winning his 20th and final grand slam trophy by defeating Marin Cilic in the men's Australian Open final, the Swiss tennis legend, who ended his professional career in September, uploaded the picture on Roger Federer Instagram.

The South Korean musical group, formed in 2016, has headlined two globe tours and been dubbed "the biggest girl group in the world."

Blackpink is a Korean girl group consisting of four members: Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé. They have amassed more YouTube subscribers than any other artist and have a legion of devoted followers who call themselves "Blinks" (a combination of the words "black" and "pink").

They are massive on social media, with over 37.7 million TikTok fans and a current ranking of #42 on the platform.

Collectively, the K-pop girl group grossed over $32 million in 2022, and their second studio album, Born Pink, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart that same year, in October, per Fox Sports.

On Instagram alone, the Roger Federer Blackpink photo has racked up almost a million likes, while on Twitter, it has received over 12.6 million views, 224,600 likes, and 30,700 retweets.
