There is little chance Tim Tebow is going to the Miami Dolphins contrary to earlier rumors, according to the Chicago Tribune.
According to team sources the Florida Gator product was not working out, or taking a physical, for the Dolphins Thursday.
The Dolphins had an opportunity to bring in Tebow during the 2012 offseason when the Denver Broncos were looking to trade him. However executives for the Miami Dolphins don’t believe he is a legitimate NFL quarterback.
While a team source did not completely obliterate the possibility of interest in Tebow, team executives have not discussed signing the ex-Jet.
The Dolphins currently have three quarterbacks on the roster. The team resigned Ryan Tannehill who is entering his sophomore season. Tannehill completed 58.3 percent of his passes and threw 12 touchdowns with 13 interceptions in his rookie year. He also threw for 3,294 yards.
The Dolphins also have respected second string quarterback Matt Moore and third-year quarterback Pat Devlin. Some analysts believe that Moore would start on other NFL teams.
Tebow was released by the Jets on Monday—an expected move after an embarrassing season for the team. Over his career Tebow has a 47.9 completion percentage and has thrown 17 passes and nine interceptions.
On Tuesday he was offered a $75 per game contract from the Omaha Beef, an Indoor Football League team.
