The vehicle of a missing pregnant woman has been found.
Wailuku police found the scorched remains of the sport utility vehicle on Friday, but Carly Scott, who has been missing since Sunday, was still nowhere to be found.
According to the Associated Press, the 27-year-old mother-to-be was last seen at her sister's house in Haiku.
Lt. William Juan of the Maui Police told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that law enforcement officials found the shell of the vehicle at Peahi, close to the "Jaws" shore break.
Scott's former boyfriend Steven Capobianco told Hawaii News Now that she gave him a ride to Keanae to help him get his truck fixed. She then drove behind him on the way back to Haiku.
Capobianco told the press that he does see why people might consider him a suspect in the case, and that police have started bringing him in for questioning.
There aren't any known suspects at this time.
