Four-time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James once again graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, 20 years after he did so as a junior in high school at St. Vincent-St. Mary. The now-37-year-old James is shown accompanied by his two sons Bronny, 17, and Bryce, 15, who is playing basketball this winter at the Sierra Canyon School in Southern California.

The group was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the headline "Chosen Sons."

James has already stated his ambition to play with Bronny in the NBA one day, making them the first father-son team to do so in the history of the game. However, he also hinted an even more ambitious aspiration while chatting with SI's Chris Ballard, per a WYKC report. The four-time NBA champion did not rule it out when asked whether he might play with both Bronny and Bryce.

LeBron James Drams of Playing with Bronny, Bryce

It would be quite an accomplishment for James, who will soon begin his 20th NBA season, to play long enough to team up with Bryce James.

The younger of James' two boys wouldn't be qualified for the NBA Draft until at the earliest 2026, according to current league regulations, as he is now in his second season at Sierra Canyon. James would need to play for at least five more seasons, by which time he would be 42 years old, to be able to play with his second son.

For Bronny James, a four-star prospect and the No. 41-ranked player in the country according to 247Sports, the proposition looks much more possible.

In 2024, the year when his father has the option to withdraw from his new contract with the Lakers, the oldest James sibling will become the first of the James family to be eligible for the NBA Draft.

LeBron Will Do His Best To Accomplish Record

James stated that playing alongside his kid wasn't a question of if, but rather when, in an interview with Jason Lloyd of The Athletic in February.

James remarked that his NBA season will be spent with Bronny. " I would do whatever it takes to play with my son. It's not about the money at that point.

LeBron stated that he believes he will be able to play in the league for many more years to come, per People.

He said during an interview, "I feel like I could play for quite a time. Therefore, everything depends on my body, but more importantly, my mind."

"If my mind can stay sharp and fresh and motivated, then the sky's not even a limit for me," LeBron said.

LeBron James extended his deal with the Lakers earlier this month for $97.1 million, guaranteeing his presence in Los Angeles at least through the year 2024.Lebron's career earnings of $532 million after the extension make him the highest-paid player in NBA history, according to CNBC.

Bryce James receives his first basketball scholarship offer from a college, calling the news "blessed."

In addition to his four NBA titles, LeBron James has also been chosen for 18 All-NBA teams, 18 All-Star games, and six All-Defensive teams. He has also won four NBA Finals MVP awards and four league MVP awards.
