Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley tried to recruit Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James to his current team during an appearance on a sports show on Tuesday morning.

On ESPN's "Get Up," the veteran pitched some good reasons why James, who is among the greatest players in NBA history, should consider playing with the Wolves next season, per Lakers Daily.

"Or, you know, Minnesota. Who knows?" he said. "Hey listen, great people there. Oh my goodness, it's great people. Even during the winters, you see the snow. The tress change colors, man."

Those are interesting pitches. But Beverley added an enticing one: "The taxes are much, much lower than L.A."

LeBron James has repeatedly proven his ability to transform a team into a championship contender. He would undoubtedly excel with Wolves studs like Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and others.

Patrick Beverley's pitch is intriguing, but James is more likely to stay with the Lakers for now. Despite media speculation, neither James nor the Lakers have expressed an interest in parting ways.

Pat Bev Really Wants To Play With The King

James and the Lakers certainly hope to get the franchise back on track. L.A. This season, the team concluded with a poor 33-49 record, ending the season at 11th place in the Western Conference.

But if James would not transfer to Minnesota, Beverley might be the one to move to L.A. instead.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed Beverley to a deal for the 2022-23 season. If he weren't, he'd reportedly explore joining the Los Angeles Lakers to play alongside the 4-time NBA champion, per Bleacher Report.

On ESPN's This Just In, host Max Kellerman asked him if he would want to play for the Lakers, to which Beverley answered "yes."

"If I was a free agent and if I and Minnesota didn't agree to a number, yes, "I wouldn't even hesitate. Just to be able to play with a great like [James], be able to pick his brain, be able to be a star in whatever role that I have, playing alongside Russell Westbrook...fantastic. Playing for the Lakers, couldn't ask for a better job," he said.

Lakers Management To Trade LeBron?

Last week, Los Angeles Times columnist Bill Plaschke disclosed that Lakers owner Jeanie Buss sought the guidance of former Lakers coach Phil Jackson to help the team bounce back after a frustrating season. Plaschke shared that he heard that the legendary coach "would like LeBron traded," according to the New York Post.

"I've just heard that but I've got nothing to back that up. No on-the-record stuff to back that up. I do know that Phil would like to keep [Russell] Westbrook and try to make that work with him," the sports journalist said on "The Doug Gottlieb Show."

Although Buss admitted to seeking advice from Jackson, there is no evidence that he has total control over personnel decisions or a formal position within the club. The final decision is still on her.

While Jackson has a strong coaching record, his management decisions are suspect. Also, he has been known to be harsh with James, especially during his tenure with the Miami Heat.
