Elon Musk is known as the world's richest man, a multi-billionaire business magnate who owns and invests in several technology companies. But aside from multiplying wealth, it seems that he also wants more kids.

In less than two decades, Tesla's founder has become the father of eight children. His oldest child was born in 2002, while his youngest was born in 2021.

According to People, Musk has been in three relationships over that time and is a co-parent with two of them.

Here's what you need to know about Elon Musk's kids, as well as his relationship with their moms:

Nevada Alexander Musk

Elon Musk's children include his first six kids with Canadian author Justine Wilson. They met as students at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, and eventually, they got married in January 2000.

Nevada Alexander Musk, their son, was born in 2002. Nevada, unfortunately, died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 10 weeks.

Griffin and Xaiver Musk

As per a Celebsuburb article, Wilson decided to try In vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive a child a few months after Nevada's death.

"I buried my feelings instead, coping with Nevada's death by making my first visit to an IVF clinic less than two months later. Elon and I planned to get pregnant again as swiftly as possible," Wilson once wrote.

To start a family, Musk and Wilson utilized IVF. And in April 2004, Griffin and Xavier Musk, their twin sons, were born.

Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk

In January 2006, the former couple used IVF to give birth to triplet sons Kai, Saxon, and Damian. The trio is now 16 years old.

Musk and Wilson divorced in 2008, and their five sons are shared between them. Wilson has kept her love life a private matter since their divorce was finalized. Elon Musk, on the other hand, has gone on with some high-profile women.

Musk married English actress Talulah Riley in 2010 in Scotland. In 2012, they divorced. Then they got remarried in 2013 and divorced again in 2016. They did not have kids.

Then Musk had a brief relationship with actress Amber Heard, whom he met in 2013 on the set of the movie Machete Kills. According to a WION article, things were going well between them until distance ruined their relationship. After just over a year of dating, the couple decided to call it quits in August 2017.

X AE A-XII Musk

Musk started dating singer Grimes in May 2018. After two years, she gave birth to their son, X AE A-XII, per Page Six.

X was born with the name X Æ A-12, but his parents were forced to change his name because "Æ" and "12" were not part of the English alphabet and thus violated California law.

Musk's first son with Grimes became immediate fame after his birth on May 4, 2020 (Star Wars Day). According to the South China Morning Post, he is famous not just for being the first kid born to Grimes and Musk after their two-year relationship but also for his extremely unique name.

Exa Dark Sideræl Musk

In March 2022, Grimes reported that she and the SpaceX CEO Musk had welcomed their first daughter, Exa Dark Siderael Musk, through surrogacy in December 2021. She's also called "Y" within the family since her older brother is X.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Grimes explained that the name Exa relates to the term ExaFlops, which means "the ability to perform one quintillion floating-point operations per second." Her second name Dark means "the beautiful mystery of our universe" while Sideræl, "true time of the universe, star time, deep space-time" and "not our relative Earth time."
