A Hotmail user is receiving numerous e-mails from users around the globe due to a massive Gmail outage.

The Gmail outage is currently a (500) code problem, which means it's just temporary. However, the cause is unidentified.

When users search for "Gmail" in the search box, the first thing on the list shows "Gmail - Email from Google." In some regions users will only see that accompanied by a text that says, "The ease and simplicity of Gmail, available across all your devices. Gmail's inbox helps you stay organized by sorting your mail by type. Plus, you can video chat ..." and in some regions, users will see two sub-links underneath. One of the sub-links says "Email" and the other one says "Gmail - Google."

Once a user clicked on the "E-mail" sub-link, a G-mail compose window will unusually pop out bearing an entered e-mail address in the "To" box - dsp559@hotmail.com.

The e-mail address reportedly belong to a David S. Peck.

In a phone interview, Peck said that thousands of "no-subject, blank e-mails" are flooding his account since Thursday. "500 of them come every hour, I can't stop them."

Few of the e-mails he has received reads, "who is this?" or "why are you sending me these e-mails?" Such messages made him think that his account might have been used in some cyber attack. Additionally, most of the senders seemed to be from the outside of U.S., basing on their names.

"They're coming so fast, I want to stop them. I deleted everything last night and woke up this morning and had 1,900 new emails" he shared to TechCrunch. "Only two of them were emails I cared about."

He has already contacted Hotmail support Friday morning to get assistance on the matter through his Gmail account, but as of press time, he hasn't gotten any help yet.

Peck's Hotmail account is his main account. However, because of the outage, he's missing important mails.

Google has not given any comment on the issue yet.
