The Golden State Warriors reached the NBA playoffs in the past 4 seasons. But since Steve Kerr became the Warriors' head coach, the team went from being a normal playoff team to NBA Champions.

In the past two seasons with Kerr, the Warriors have a combined record of 140-24 win-loss record. They've reached NBA Finals for two consecutive years and win the NBA title in the 2014-2015 season. They are the heavy favorite to win it all this season.

This season, they are living up to that expectation. With a 18-3 win-loss record, they are first in Pacific Division and at the top of the NBA right now on paper. They led the league major categories such as scoring, assists, field goal percentage, blocks and steals.

The Big 4 of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green proved that they can co-exist on the basketball floor. Thompson struggled early in the season. But on Monday night again the Pacers, he scored a career-high 60 points in just 29 minutes. If he played in the entire 4th quarter, perhaps he could surpass Kobe Bryant's 81-point performance.

But despite playing the kind of basketball like we've never seen before, the Warriors still have become a hot topic in trade rumor talks. One of the rumors that made the headline is a rumor involving two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry. According to HNGN, Stephen Curry might sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers if they reached the NBA Finals and lost to the Cavs once again.

That rumor was created less than a month ago. But with the way things are right now, Stephen Curry signing with the Cavaliers next season is impossible to happen.

Curry is playing so well this season despite sharing the court with another former MVP in Kevin Durant. In 21 games with the Warriors this season, Curry is averaging 26.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals, as per ESPN.

The Warriors are the best team in the NBA right now. Durant and Curry proving to critics that two former MVPs at the peak of their career can still co-exist on the basketball floor. And despite having newcomers to the team this year, they are already clicking as a team. They are actually more dangerous now than they were in the past 2 seasons.

If the Warriors reach the NBA Finals once again and lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, it is still unlikely that Curry will choose to sign with the Cavs. It is true that Curry will be a free agent after this season. Considering his status now, he will surely get a very lucrative deal.

Curry might receive some huge offers from some teams in the offseason. But the Cavs will not chase Curry. They already have a great point guard in Kyrie Irving.

Considering the things that are happening now, Stephen Curry signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers is very unlikely to happen. There is a very big possibility that Curry will re-sign with Golden State Warriors.
