Trade rumors are starting to swirl around again to New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis. Rumors are saying that he might be heading to the Boston Celtics before the February trade deadline will expire after the lackluster performance of his team lately.

Despite putting up impressive numbers of 30.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game, Davis performance doesn't translate to wins for the team. With his team reeling at the last spot in the Western Conference, Davis could ask the Pelicans to trade him and find a more contender team.

With the Celtics showing interest to acquire him, a deal might be coming anytime soon. According to iSportsTimes.com, the Boston Celtics might be moving right now and getting in touch with the New Orleans Pelicans to acquire Davis to them.

Trade scenario suggests that Pelicans will send Anthony Davis together with Tim Frazier to the Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson and two first-round draft picks. Though the Celtics look to be in the disadvantage by giving up too many players plus future draft picks, who will pass up for a 3-time NBA All-Star like Davis?

Davis is presumed to dominate the league in the near future. At a younger age of 23 and being in the league for only four years, he deemed to vastly improve on the following years and his potential is much anticipated. So why would the Celtics cut off the deal if they want to contend with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East?

On the separate report by Chinatopix, now that the Celtics will miss the services of starters Al Horford and Jae Crowder due to injuries, this could be a perfect opportunity for Boston to push the trade with the Pelicans and get a superstar to add to their roster.

Having Davis will immediately make the Celtics a 'real' contender in the East and become a threat to the Cavs and Toronto Raptors. They can also form their own version of Big Three with Davis, Horford and Isaiah Thomas leading the charge on their quest for a title.
