Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat has already been released for a number of smartphones, including Nexus devices. However, it is still unclear when exactly would Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users would get to upgrade their phone.

Android 7.0 Nougat release excited all flagship users, who anticipated that all would receive an upgrade notification. Unfortunately, Google's latest Android mobile OS will not be released for all smartphones.

However, the good side of the story is that Samsung has actually announced that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be released sooner or later for its flagship phones. According to iTech Post, some of the first Samsung phones scheduled to receive Nougat update include Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5.

Out of the complete list of Samsung phones expected to receive Nougat update, Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Note 5 users are expected to receive the upgrade notification first. The upgrade is likely to affect these phones by the end of fourth quarter of 2016.

Meanwhile, the Android 7.0 Nougat update for aforementioned phones is believed to be under "manufacturer development." This indicates that the Samsung flagship holders may have to wait for a long time before they can reap the benefits of the latest Android mobile OS.

According to Neurogadget, the Android Nougat update for Samsung devices has been confirmed by T-Mobile. The company released a statement stating that the development team is working hard on releasing the software for the listed Samsung smartphones.

The Android Nougat update will bring an array of new features with itself, including split-screen mode and an option to send an instant reply with the help of on-screen notifications. In addition, the new Android mobile OS allows the users to perform multitasking and work on multiple apps at the same time.

Even though Samsung has not confirmed any rumors officially, the Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7, Note 5 and S7 edge is expected to be released before the end of 2016.
