Michael Bay Walks Off Stage At CES 2014 Samsung Event, Director Explains Incident in Blog (READ)

Transformers director Michael Bay has made headlines at this year's CES, overshadowing the Samsung Curved 105-inch UHD TV by getting flustered on stage and, finding no way to recover, walked off leaving the audience confused and the product less-than explained.

The video, which can be seen below via CNET, went viral in a matter of hours, prompting the Transformers: Age of Extinction director to pen an explination and publish it to his personal blog.

"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES - I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down - then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing," Bay wrote. "But I'm doing a special curved screen experience with Samsung and Transformers 4 footage that will be traveling around the world."

Although Bay may have seemed upset in the video, he seems to have just been embarrassed on stage beyond belief and could think of no smooth way to transition out of it. He did seem to take full responsibility for the hiccup and is writing it off as just an embarrassing moment for him.

Bay is attending CES 2014 in order to lend some star power to companies like Samsung who are trying to debut new items while simultaneously promoting his upcoming film, the fourth installment in the popular action blockbuster series "Transformers."
