The good news is Android 7.0 Nougat update roll-out is already starting, but only in selected Nexus devices as of now.

It is no surprise already as Google usually rolls out the standard version of Android OS to its very own Nexus smartphones first.

Meanwhile, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Motorola and other Android smartphones already have their hands on the Android Nougat. Although these brands are still currently developing their own tweaks in Android 7.0 Nougat.

Fortunately, for Samsung users, the waiting for the Android 7.0 Nougat update may not be that long.

A recent data from GFXBench shows that a Samsung Galaxy S7 is already running on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Sam Mobile also reports benchmarked results from Geekbench for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The Exynos variants are the ones being tested so the update may first arrive in international models (Europe).

However, the data reveal only that Samsung is already testing the latest Android OS in its flagship phone. The actual release of which may be imminent but not urgent.

Insider confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be coming to Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 in the last quarter of 2016.

On the other hand, Galaxy Tab S2 will be getting the update in 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat basic features from Google include VR support or Daydream, which pledges more immersive VR experience. There is also the Quick Switch, which users, using the multi-tasking button, can use to swap to the previous app.

Android 7.0 Nougat also has Multi-window (users can use to access two apps in the same screen at once), additional power competence, enhanced Java 8 language support, Google Assistant, smooth updates, push notifications and direct reply notifications.
