The novelty of having the option to book an Uber in advance is something that every user wants.

After the success of the scheme in Seattle, USA in June, Uber now allows its users in London to book a ride up to one month in advance.

In the process, London becomes the first city in Europe to have this service from Uber.

In a report, Business Insider disclosed passengers will initially be serviced by an UberX taxi, which is usually a Toyota Prius. But it added that Uber could expand to more expensive cars like Uber Lux and Uber Exec in the future.

Prices for scheduled rides are the same as a normal UberX ride, an Uber spokesman told Business Insider.

Fares will be based on the tariff rate at the time the car is dispatched, meaning that if you book a ride for at a busy time you could end up paying 1.2x, 1.5x or 2.0x the standard rate.

Tom Elvidge, general manager of Uber London, said the move came after many Uber our riders, especially business customers, requested that the services tested in Seattle be expended to London.

"Whether it's having a car ready at the end of a meeting or to take you to the airport, scheduling your Uber in advance means there's one less thing to worry about," he said.
