George Zimmerman and girlfriend Samantha Scheibe paid a visit to the Sanford Police Station to pick up their personal effects, which were confiscated during a domestic dispute that has since been settled.
The two were photographed Friday strolling out of the police department smiling cheerfully, while a law enforcement employee walking next to them carried an evidence box in her left hand, the Daily Mail reported.
Zimmerman held a yellow manila envelope, his keys and cellphone as he walked back to his car from the station.
30-year-old Zimmerman was arrested earlier this month, after an argument in Scheibe's Apopka, Fla. residence turned violent. Zimmerman reportedly put a long-barreled shotgun in Scheibe's face, then used it to smash her glass table. Scheibe, who was on the phone with 911 dispatchers at the time, said she was then pushed and locked out of the house.
When police arrived at the home, where Zimmerman reportedly lives with Scheibe, his five firearms were seized and he was charged with domestic assault. But soon after, Scheibe dropped the charges against Zimmerman, saying that she'd felt intimidated by police interrogation, may have dramatized the situation and wanted to stay with the 30-year-old who was acquitted of murder charges in the 2012 killing of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
Among the evidence seized at the scene of the dispute were 100 rounds of ammunition, a .380-caliber handgun, a 9-mm handgun, a Glock 19 handgun, a Kel-Tec 12-gauge shotgun and an AR-15 assault-style rifle that belonged to Zimmerman, according to the Daily Mail.
