It looks like Matt Kemp's past is coming back to haunt him. It was rumored that the Los Angeles Dodgers' player is dating Khloe Kardashian following her divorce from Lamar Odom. Neither one has spoken publicly about the romance rumors but they have been spotted together on several occasions.

According to the Daily Mail, the same day Kardashian officially ended her four year marriage to Odom, she was photographed heading to the gym with Kemp. Kardashian and Odom were plagued with divorce rumors for months before she finally ended the marriage. Reportedly Odom's alleged crack cocaine addiction and cheating contributed to the split.

Now reports are surfacing suggesting that Kemp might not have such a clean past. According to Radar Online, Kemp's ex-girlfriend Felisha Terrell filed a restraining order against the athlete in 2008. She claimed that Kemp was verbally abusive, threatened her and she was in fear for her life.

"He repeatedly made me scared and gets in my face asserting some power/authority," she said in the documents, Radar reports. "He brings his friends driving up and down the street to try and intimidate me. I am very fearful."

She also alleged that Kemp smoked marijuana. Terrell eventually dropped the restraining order but the events surrounding it remains unclear. According to the Los Angeles Times, Kemp's team didn't deny that a restraining order was taken out but claims it had nothing to do with abuse.

"Matt dated Felisha about two years ago and decided to end their relationship. She chose to file a complaint and shortly thereafter, on her own accord, decided to drop it," his agent David Stewart said at the time. "She and Matt consider this to be a non-issue. Matt Kemp is a consummate Midwestern gentleman who has never displayed any act of violence towards a woman."

Terrell's rep also released a statement to the LA Times saying"

"Felisha Terrell and Matt Kemp lived together and were in a relationship for over a year where they both cared for one another. During the course of the relationship there was a restraining order filed by Felisha but it had nothing to do with domestic violence and to be clear Matt was never physically abusive to Felisha, nor did she fear for her life. The restraining order was subsequently vacated. They both have moved on separately but remain amicable."

Reportedly she initially filed for a restraining order after the baseball player asked her to move out of his house after they broke up.
