The concert has been rescheduled to May 20.

The Nottingham stop is a part of a farewell tour for the singer titled “Last At Bat.” The rock star, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, said this will be his last tour amid concerns about his problematic health. Nottingham is the fifth stop on the tour which will also stop in Germany and the Netherlands.

In an interview in March he joked about his weight and admitted he had a desire to stop travelling.

"I outweigh (Mick) Jagger by about 100 pounds (45 kg) and that counts for something. He hasn't seen the wear and tear," he said.

Meat Loaf’s health issues have been well documented and very public. In 2007 he had to cancel a tour across Europe after a cyst was found on his vocal chords. In 2011 many of his fans held their breaths after he collapsed on stage during a concert. He blamed the blackouts and health issues on past concussions and asthma. The singer will also have a second knee operation after having his first knee replaced in 2012.

A spokesman said he will be back for the Wednesday concert in Manchester.
