Day 26 is getting back together. The boy band created on Sean "Diddy" Combs' MTV reality show "Making the Band 4" has announced they will be reuniting in the new year, TMZ reports.
A rep for the group confirmed the news saying that the band is currently planning a 30-trip tour starting in the spring of 2014 and all the members - Anthony "Que" Mosley, Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Willie Taylor and Michael McCluney - are coming back.
Day 26 split back in 2009 after Que was kicked out of the group because of "disagreements with the management," TMZ reports. The entire band officially broke during the summer of 2012. At the time Andrews told Vibe that despite the split he still believed the group would reunite again later on down the road.
"I say this all the time: Day26, I don't believe that it's over," he said. "I would definitely be up for coming back together and eventually doing music together... I definitely wouldn't count out more Day26 albums."
Reportedly Diddy is not a part of the reunion but has given the band his support. All the members seem to be excited about the reunion hinting to their Twitter followers that there are a lot of surprises in store for 2014.
"Late night studio session I ain't gonna lie I'm tired but I wanna cut another record," McCluney tweeted on Dec. 10.
"Day26 reunion coming to a city near you. United we stand all of 5 of us. Stay tuned for updates," Curry tweeted.
"Big things poppin in 2014 #DAYBREAK as well as this DAY26 tour.... GOD IS GOOD...!!!!" Angel wrote.
This news comes a few months after Danity Kane (another group formed from "Making the Band") announced they were getting back together. The girls confirmed the news at the MTV Video Music Awards were they all (except D. Woods) made a group appearance.
Reportedly D. Woods has decided not to reunite with Dawn Richards, Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres because of other obligations.
"We really missed doing music together," Richard said on the red carpet when asked why the group was getting back together.
"[There's] an album's worth of new music," she continued. "We're working with the amazing Stereotypes, who as you know they've done 'Damage.'" We have a new record called, 'Rage.' It's a better sound for us. It's a live sound. Dainty Kane with live guitars, live drums [and] more of a rock vibe. People will be pleasantly surprised at how we're coming."
