Woman Awakes From Coma and Asks to Go to Bob Seger Concert

A 79-year-old Michigan native came out of a five-year-long coma after suffering a massive stroke and the first thing she said was "I want to go to a Bob Seger concert," according to the Detroit News.

Evie Branan had suffered a massive stroke and fallen into a coma for five years, and awoke in May 2011. While trying to go to the restroom, she slipped and bumped her head. That's when she claims the memories started coming back.

Branan's nursing home and Bob Seger's management company got her tickets and sent her and some friends in a limo ride to the concert. And she was given a backstage pass, which got her close enough to meet the rock star.

"He come over to me and put his hand out and shook my hand and says, 'Hi Evie, I'm so glad to meet you,' and I said, 'Oh Bob, I am so happy to meet you, I never thought this would happen."

She also met Seger family, talked with crew and band members and received VIP treatment.
