Gwen Stefani has quite the story to tell about what led to her divorce with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. She's just not sharing any of those details for the time being.

Stefani finalized her divorce to Rossdale in October 2015. The ex-couple was married for 13 years and had three sons - 9-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma and 2-year-old Apollo. The marriage allegedly ended when the No Doubt singer became aware of her husband's several-years-long affair with the family's navy.

"My life was literally blown up into my face," the 46-year-old singer told The New York Times. "If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It's a really good, juicy story."

Her immediate reaction to learning about Rossdale's indiscretions was one of crushing defeat. The news came the morning after she performed at the 2015 Grammys with her Adam Levine, her fellow judge on NBC's "The Voice."

"I'm gonna die," she thought at the time. "I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?"

Despite the immense heartache, her crumbling personal life inspired her to go back to her first love - songwriting. She immediately returned to the studio and recorded her new album, "This Is What the Truth Feels Like," coming out Friday, March 18. The album is her first solo project since 2006's "The Sweet Escape."

"I have to make music out of this. That's what God wants for me," she said.

The new album focuses on the destruction of love as much as it does finding a new love, which she has done with Blake Shelton, who she met on "The Voice." The two began dating in August around the same time he was going through his own break up with ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

Shelton "had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame," Stefani said and added about finding new love so soon, "Never in my wildest, craziest dreams would I have ever have seen this coming."

The couple has not hid their relationship. They first went public at a Halloween party last fall and walked the red carpet at the 88th Academy Awards.
