Yoko Ono has been discharged from the hospital after she was taken to the Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in New York on Friday because she had suffered from flu-like symptoms.

Ono's son, Sean Lennon, tweeted on Saturday that his mother is home and "running about as usual." Lennon confirmed that it was only flu, and even joked that he himself should get a flu shot.

Lennon also posted an Instagram photo of his mother backstage at a Black Sabbath concert in Madison Square Garden with the caption: "Celebrating healthy mum with a little Sabbath!!!"

Ono's spokesperson Elliot Mintz had to dismiss reports that the widow of Beatles legend John Lennon suffered a stroke when he made the announcement of her hospitalization.

"They are not accurate. To the best of my knowledge, she had symptoms along the lines of a serious flu, and her doctor thought it was best that she would get a check-up at the hospital, and she is being checked for that and, hopefully, will be released as early tomorrow.

"There is no stroke and there are no life-threatening circumstances as has been described to me. It's just an advanced case of the flu. I can't confirm or deny which hospital she's at," Mintz said, HNGN previously reported.

Ono was rushed to the hospital while in an unconscious state from her home located at the Dakota, where she had been living for the past 43 years.
