Jay Leno was hit with a lawsuit by a woman who said she was wrongly accused of bestiality and having sexual conduct with a rat during a segment called "Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda" on "The tonight Show." 55-year-old Louann Giambattista is suing Leno and three other comedians after they joked about a story where she supposedly smuggled a pet rat on a plane in her underwear and pantyhose, Courthouse News Service reports.
In the lawsuit Giambattista, a former American Airlines flight attendant, said she has been "painted as a sexual deviant" because of the jokes.
"Leno and his guests falsely accused Ms. Giambattista of engaging in sexual relations with a rat," the lawsuit reads.
She was particularly upset with the comments made about the story during the July 2013 segment.
"If I were one of those rats, I would be really upset. I prefer not to sit in cooch." - Alec Mapa
"A filthy rodent like a rat does not belong on an airplane. She could have used what the rest of us ladies use - a rabbit." - Kira Soltanovich, referring to a popular brand of vibrator.
"I don't understand this one at all. If she wanted something that creepy-looking in her underwear she should have hooked up with me." - Jim Norton.
The lawsuit further claims that her sex life with her husband has suffered because of the "sickening, outrageous and disgusting attacks" made in the segment.
"Every time [her husband] looks at her he thinks of defendant Leno and the heinous segment depicting her as a sexual deviant," the lawsuit states.
Giambattista is also reportedly suing American Airlines because she said the story was the result of a "relentless campaign of discrimination."
