Earlier reports reveal that Safari crashes when a user clicks a specific URL that overloads the browser, even prompting the iOS device itself to reboot. Now, another crashing problem was discovered after users worldwide complained of crashes when using the browser's search or URL bar.

The latest Safari problem is the same on both the iOS and Mac platforms. The browser crashes each time the URL bar is tapped or when opening a new tab. The problem persisted when this story was being written.

Experts believe that the issue is being caused Apple's Safari Suggestions feature, which automatically completes the information being typed in the URL bar. This autocomplete feature is based on Apple's data server, so updating the browser to its latest version or the operating system itself (for those who have not updated their devices), will not solve the problem, according to MacWorld.

Temporary solutions include disabling the search suggestion feature and using the browser's private mode, The Verge reported. For Mac users, this inconvenience could be frustrating especially when Apple asked users to reinstall several software last November due to a security glitch.

Apple has already addressed the problem, according to BBC News. It was not revealed how the company was able to fix the issue, but it appears that it will take a bit of time in order to take effect. Aside from the temporary workarounds, users are encouraged to clear their web history in order to hasten the process.
