"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was initially supposed to arrive in theaters in May of 2015 before being pushed back to December. While fans were naturally disappointed, they could take solace in the fact that Disney and Lucasfilm were taking the necessary time to get it right.

Will they be so forgiving again?

Originally, Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" was supposed to hit theaters just five short months after this year's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" debuts in Dec. However, it has just been announced that "Star Wars: Episode VIII" has been moved from May 26, 2017 to Dec. 15, 2017. You may now take a moment to vent your frustration.

No reason has been given for the delay, but it has been confirmed that "Star Wars: Episode VIII" will be pushed back seven months.
