Robert Carradine Files For Divorce From Wife Of 25 Years, Seeking Spousal Support

Robert Carradine is calling it quits. The 61-year-old actor, best known as Lewis Skolnick in the "Revenge of the Nerds" movies, is divorcing Edith "edie" Mani, his wife of 25 years, TMZ reported.

The gossip site reported that Carradine, the youngest son of legendary character actor John Carradine, filed divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences in late November. The couple has reportedly been separated since July.

He is also asking his soon-to-be ex-wife for spousal support from his wife. The actor asked "that the court's ability to award spousal support to his wife be terminated," according to legal documents obtained by People. The couple will not be fighting over child support since their children, daughter Marica Carradine, 25, and son Ian Carradine, 23, are adults.

The two were involved in a terrifying car accident in Colorado in March that sent them both to hospital. The actor was driving on the highway when he veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a tractor-trailer, E! News reported.

Carradine was given a ticket for careless driving, and State Patrol Public Information Officer Trooper Josh Lewis told E! News that neither speed nor alcohol or drugs factored into the crash.

The two appeared in an episode of "Celebrity Wife Swap" in which Edith switched places with former wide receiver Terrell Owens and his girlfriend.
