Nokia has finally unveiled its largest screen smartphone, the Lumia 1520, and its first tablet, the Lumia 2520, both running on Microsoft's latest Windows Phone mobile operating system.

Nokia, one of the renowned phone makers around the world, has finally stepped into the large screen phablet business with the introduction of much-speculated Lumia 1520 and has also built its first ever tablet PC, the Lumia 2520. Rumors about the large screen devices have been circulating for quite some time now and as speculated the Finnish maker lifted the curtains off its two new additions to the Lumia family Tuesday, at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi.

Nokia not only announced the two new devices in its Lumia lineup, but also unveiled the Lumia 1320, touted as the cost-effective business smartphone. In addition, three new models, Asha 500Asha 502 and Asha 503, arrived during the launch event, Tuesday.

Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 stood apart as these devices have changed the way company has operated for years. While other leading companies like Samsung dominated the big screen smartphone business, Nokia held onto its traditional average screen smartphones like Apple.  But now the 6-inch Lumia 1520 smartphone will take part in the so called "phablet" race.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 sports Full HD 6-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. It boasts 20-megapixel PureView camera with dual LED flash and optical image stabilization for clear images even in low light. Lumia 1520 is the first Windows Phone device to use Quad-core CPU and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. The device comes in yellow, white, black and glossy red color variants with a price tag of $749. However, the carriers will offer it at a lesser price with a two-year contract once it starts shipping later this year.

The Lumia 2520 is the first ever tablet PC launched by the Finnish maker. The device measures 10.1 inches diagonally and runs on Windows RT 8.1. It sports a 6.7-megapixel camera but has no flash. The new tablet comes with a built-in 4G LTE support and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. It will start shipping alongside Lumia 1520 and 1320 in the fourth quarter of 2013 with a price tag of $499.

All these large screen Lumia devices feature a unique interface and sport a new column of live tiles for quick access to apps and settings.
