Not everyone is excited to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and one of those people is Fox News contributor Katherine Timpf. Last month, Tipmf insulted "Star Wars" fans who were excited for the new trailer that was set to premiere during half time of the week's Monday Night Football game.

During an appearance on "Red Eye with Tom Shillue," Timpf said that she did not have an interest "in watching space nerds poke each other with their little space nerd sticks."

"You people are crazy," she continued, according to Us weekly. "You Star Wars people are crazy. Yesterday I tweeted something, and all I said was that I wasn't familiar with Star Wars because I've been too busy liking cool things and being attractive - people threatened my life."

On Tueday, Timpf wrote an essay that was published by the National Review where she shared her thoughts on the backlash and revealed she was receiving death treats.

"A lot of people are clearly a lot of upset. But guess what? I'm not apologizing," Timpf wrote. "Why? Because the all-too-common knee-jerk reaction of apologizing for harmless jokes after overblown hysteria is ruining our culture. This political-correctness obsession threatens free speech, and I absolutely refuse to be a part of it."

She then went on to defend her comments and told "Star Wars" fans that if they send her death threats then "you are too sensitive."

"I will not apologize," she ended the essay.
