Ronda Rousey is already an established butt kicker in real life, but now she'll get the opportunity to prove it in the virtual world as well.

Rousey will become the first ever female athlete to grace the cover of a major EA Sports video game when UFC 2 hits the shelves in 2016. She will be accompanied on the cover with another fighter to be named later.

"I was obsessed with games growing up, so it's surreal to see myself on the cover," Rousey said in a statement. "EA Sports is like a cultural barometer to see what's going on in sports. It really means a lot to me to be on the cover of EA Sports UFC 2."

The highly anticipated game is expected to become available for both the Playstation 4 and Xbox 360 sometime in spring 2016.

The historic news comes just one day before Rousey is set to defend her UFC Bantamweight Championship for the seventh consecutive time against challenger Holly Holm in Melbourne, Australia. Rousey has held a championship belt since she defeated Meisha Tate back in 2012. For her career, she is 12-0 with three knockouts and nine submissions. Her legendary arm bar has become one of the most dangerous moves in MMA.

Despite inital doubts from UFC President Dana White over the marketability of women's MMA, Rousey has become arguably the biggest draw in UFC history over the last year. Her previous card in August at UFC 190 was one of the best-selling pay-per-views in UFC history. Early numbers for UFC 193 this weekend are trending in a similar fashion.

Rousey was recently named one of the 10-highest paid female athletes in the world for 2015 by Forbes, which listed her total earnings at $6.5 million. She also published an autobiography titled "My Fight/Your Fight" as well as appearing in several major films such as "Furious 7" and "Entourage."

Congratulations to the champ and good luck tomorrow night!
