Kim Kardashian revealed to her fans that she has been dropping the baby weight by doing the Atkins diet. On Oct. 13, she responded to a fan who wanted to know she was getting back in shape since giving birth to North West, Hollywood Life reports.

The popular diet was founded by Robert Atkins and is a very low-carb diet that consists of four phases. In the beginning the diet significantly reduces the person's carb intake and gradually re-introduces it later in the program. According to the website, a person could drop 15 pounds in the first two weeks.

A source told US Weekly in September that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star was upset because the weight was falling off fast enough.

"In August, Kim got frustrated because she hit a plateau, even though she was eating mostly proteins and veggies," the source said. "Kim eliminated carbs completely. She's working out here and there, but it's mainly about the food, Atkins-style."

"Kim's determined to stick to the plan," the source continued. "She finally feels good again."

The reality star also looks good as she showed off her slimmed down figure while out with baby Nori and boyfriend Kanye West. According to OMG! Yahoo, the reality star wants to release a book diary chronicling her weight loss. The book will include never-before-seen pictures of Kardashian as she slims down.

"[Kim and Kanye] are always thinking about the brand and how to make it bigger and better, so Kim is loving the idea of a post-baby body visual diary showing her weight loss," the source said. "She knows there are plenty of pap photos of her out there, but only she had the really personal ones that no one can get close enough to take her."

The book doesn't have a publisher yet but the source said that Kardashian thinks her fans will love to see her journey. The reality star has stopped posting as many pictures of Twitter and Instagram because she is reportedly saving them for the book.

"Kim has taken daily photos of herself as she slims down," the source said. "And they're on her phone and printed out in her private dressing room in order of weight loss."
