Bond girl Naomie Harris graces the December cover of Essence magazine, reported The YBF.

The British beauty stars as Moneypenny in the latest 007 blockbuster film "Spectre" opposite Daniel Craig. This upcoming Bond thriller begins with a cryptic message from the secret agent's past that sends him on a dangerous trail to uncover a sinister organization while M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive.

Harris first appeared in the recreated role of Eve Moneyponey in the 2012 blockbuster hit "Skyfall." The role originated in Ian Fleming's novels and dates back to the 1962 "Dr. No" film, reported the Toronto Sun.

“I think what makes Bond special and part of the reason that people love it so much,” Harris said, “is because each Bond movie keeps the traditional elements — but then it constantly modernizes itself and reflects the changes in society."

Inside December's Essence issue the 39-year-old actress talks about growing up poor in North London's Finsbury Park with her teenage mother. She tells how she began acting at the young age of 9 by booking TV roles after enrolling in the Anna Schere Theater School.

"I always knew I was going to be an actress," she says.

In 2002 the British-born actress starred in Danny Boyle's "28 Days Later," which was her breakout role. She also starred in the films "Miami Vice" and "Street Kings."

Harris is currently on a global tour promoting "Spectre," according to The Daily Mail. She attended the film premiere in style in New York City on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

"Spectre" will be released to U.S. theaters on Friday, Nov. 6.

On Tuesday night, Harris, Halle Berry, Trina Parks and Gloria Hendry reunited in a tribute to African American actressses in 007 films, as reported by HNGN
