One day after trading for Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Eugene Monroe, the Baltimore Ravens are reportedly shopping Bryant McKinnie for a possible trade, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Baltimore traded "multiple third-day draft picks" to Jacksonville for 2009 first round pick Monroe, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.  The deal becomes official when Monroe passes a physical, USA Today Sports reported.

The early-season trade was as much a surprise to fans as it was Monroe.

"It was shocking news," Monroe told the Associated Press.  "It came out of nowhere for me.  I'm just preparing to make the move.  It's a fresh start."

The Ravens needed help up front, and the Jaguars appear to be loading up on draft picks for next year amidst a losing season.  The trade now makes McKinnie expendable.

Baltimore is expected to explore trade options for McKinnie, sources told The Sun.  Although McKinnie participated in the Ravens' walkthrough practice on Wednesday, he appears destined for another city if the team can find the right offer.

Part of the issue with McKinnie is his weight.  The team wanted McKinnie to report to training camp weighing 346 pounds, but he has never weighed less than 355 pounds this year.

"They know Bryant is not the answer," said former Eagles director of pro personnel Louis Riddick, via The Sun.  "This move makes sense.  You look at Eugene and he's been their best offensive lineman in Jacksonville.  This should make Joe Flacco more comfortable.  It's a great move for Jacksonville because they're really devoid of talent."
