An Irving woman was robbed by a man who posed as a good Samaritan when she was stuck in a car after it flipped over on Texas Highway 114.

Kimberly Smith was headed home Sunday morning when she said she was cut off by another driver on the exit ramp off Highway 114 near Belt Line Road, according to The Dallas Morning News.

In response, Smith swerved and her car ended up rolling over three times before it landed on its roof.

While stuck in her car, dazed and confused following the crash, Smith was reportedly approached by a man who offered to help, reported NBC's Dallas affiliate NBC DFW. He said he was going to get his cell from his truck to call 911, but instead of calling for help he simply drove off.

She eventually crawled out of the car on her own and flagged down help, but it wasn't until police offers arrived that she realized the "good Samaritan" turned out to be a thief.

"The police officer asked for my driver's license and insurance and that's when I realized my wallet was not in my purse," Kimberly told ABC's Dallas affiliate WFAA.

Police report the man, described as a tall, skinny black male in his 30s, driving a red pickup truck, stole her license, social security card, credit cards and $80 dollars.

While disheartened and hurt that someone would rob her at her most vulnerable moment, Kimberly is still thankful to be alive.

"It's really a miracle that I'm alive and that I was able to walk away from it," she said.
