Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman will practice Thursday for the first time since July 30, according to Ryan Mink of baltimoreravens.com.

Perriman had been out since the first day of training camp with a knee injury, but now is getting close to playing in his first NFL game. Perriman is not likely to return this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, but the Ravens could use them, as they are winless through two games.

Perriman was expected to return in October, and some think he won't be back on the field till Oct. 11, against the Cleveland Browns or earliest Oct. 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Baltimore Sun reporter Jeff Zrebriec.

Steve Smith Sr. has been leading the Ravens receiving core this season with 12 receptions for 163 yards. Quarterback Joe Flacco has been struggling this season with two touchdowns to three interceptions, and the return of a receiver like Perriman is likely much anticipated.

Perriman reportedly still looks tentative in practice, but that is reasonable for a player who hasn't seen the field in eight weeks, according to Zrebiec.

The first round draft pick could bring some instant offense to this team, but they will likely need to figure something else out for Sunday as it seems unlikely for Perriman to play against the Bengals.
