Apple is set to launch iOS 7 on Wednesday which will be carried out by its new iPhones-- the low cost iPhone 5C and high-end iPhone 5S--but a new report from 9to5 Mac show that the company is already testing new versions of it.

According to web analysts of 9to5 Mac, the new versions will include two bug fixes and a new functionality. Information noted that the tests are being done in various Apple facilities spread in the U.S. The new versions are dubbed iOS 7.0.1, 7.0.2, and iOS 7.1.

The iOS 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 are most likely to be bug fixes for the iOS 7 while the iOS 7.1 may introduce new functionality for a new hardware. It may be weird that the iPad maker is already testing new updates even if the OS has not been released yet, but it is normal for Apple to release fixes after introducing a new OS.

The iOS 7.1 is assumed to be an update for a new iPad hardware will happen this coming fall. Whether this will be for a second-gen iPad mini as hinted by a screen resolution 768x1024 information, no confirmation has been released by the company yet.

There were previous reports as well that the iOS 7 will be integrated on the iOS-in-the-Car functionality that Apple has been working on. Another is that iOS 8 is also in progress with enhancements targeting indoor mapping, public transit directions, functions linked to the new iPhone M7 motion co-processor.

The iOS 7.0.1 are reportedly being testing in seven facilities including Cupertino, Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Lakpur, and Mountain View. The iOS 7.0.2, on the other hand, is being tested in three facilities in Cupertino, San Jose, and Grand Blanc Township.
