Facebook Suffers Backlash from Users over Microsoft for 'Lame' Anti-Google Campaign

Facebook users call Microsoft's "Scroogled" campaign against Google "lame" and an "act of desperation."

Microsoft created a Facebook page to push forward their "Scroogled" campaign against Google which condemns Google for going into user's personal emails to sell ads. However, as of now, comments of the Facebook page all seem to be in favor of Google calling the campaign "lame" and "an act of desperation from Microsoft."

Microsoft accused Google of going to Gmail user's emails to sell ads while they said that they go through Outlook user's emails merely to "sort them appropriately."

Read below some comments from Facebook users:

"It takes real balls to promote your product under the guise of "privacy" and to have the kind of privacy statements that Microsoft has... But even the DUMBEST google user will be able to see through Microsoft's 'Facebook Connect'," says one commenter.

"Microsoft has lost, and they know it," reads another.

Another commenter says, "This is just utter desperation from Microsoft. I really never thought that they would stoop this low so it's rather embarrassing to see them behave this way."

"Go home Microsoft, your drunk. Just because Google is better than you, you haven't to do this shit," says a Brian Boss on Facebook.

Another comment favoring Google reads, "ohh wow...just...wow :)). "We don't go through your email to sell adds". You should have stopped at "We don't go through your email". What I get from your videos is that you do go through my email, you just don't sell me adds :). P.S. Lame campaign. Makes you look like whiny snot nose little brats that desperately try to get the popular kids to notice them :)."
