CBS Standard and Practices issued a wardrobe advisory via email to all celebrities who will be attending the 55th Grammy Awards, Sunday 10 February, 2013, reports Deadline News.
According to an email sent to the representatives of celebrities and performers who will be attending the awards night, the attendees should ensure they are adequately covered. The advisory note requests all celebrities who are set to appear on camera during the awards function to abide by the Network policy concerning wardrobe.
"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," reads the letter. "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."
The letter asks to refrain from wearing sheer tops or expose side boob.
"Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic," the email stated. "Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible "puffy" bare skin exposure."
CBS further advised on not wearing any label pins representing a brand and not even any inappropriate words in foreign language printed on T-shirts.
"Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts. Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST."
The memo note also holds for any audience member who may appear on camera.
"Finally, The Network requests that any organized cause visibly spelled out on talent's wardrobe be avoided. This would include lapel pins or any other form of accessory."
The night will include performances by Carrie Underwood, Jack White, Dierks Bentley with Miranda Lambert and Elton John teaming up with Ed Sheeran for the first time ever.
Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban and are among the long list of musical artists presenting on the big night.
