One Direction will reportedly disband in March of next year, reports The Sun. The hugely popular boy band's members, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, have mutually agreed to take an extended hiatus of at least one year to pursue solo projects. There is not going to be a tour to support their upcoming fifth album, meaning their last full concert for some time is going to be in October in Sheffield, England.

"The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband. They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 percent behind the decision," says a source, according to Bang Showbiz. "It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future. But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world's most popular music act."

"After five years together they're hungry to try something else. There is a lot of demand for Harry Styles to be a big solo artist and launch a Hollywood acting career and there is a lot of speculation that Louis Tomlinson will join the X Factor judging panel next year," reports Sky News. "Liam Payne and Niall Noran are interesting in pursuing their song writing careers."

The band members are expected to begin negotiations about their individual futures in the coming weeks. One Direction has sold over 50 million records worldwide and has more than 91 number ones across the globe.
